Responsibilities: Health Information
Specialists obtain, post, and analyze medical, workload, finance, and insurance
data. Health
information specialists work in hospitals, clinics, insurance companies,
physician offices etc.
Salary: the salary
depends on what you decide to work on
$20,000 - $25,000 (Coding Specialists)
$23,000 - $30,000 (Record Technicians)
$30,000 - $40,000 (Record Administrators)
$23,000 - $30,000 (Record Technicians)
$30,000 - $40,000 (Record Administrators)
Education: High school
diploma, equivalent required. Some college preferred. To become certified,
specialists must pass an examination. Training is usually conducted
on the job but classes are offered at technical schools and community colleges.
I think I’ll like to be a Health information specialist;
I like the duties and responsibilities that health information must do. Not
really similar to to being a RN, but it’s something I would like to give a try.
