Medical Illustrator
Duties and Responsibilities:
Medical Illustrator work strictly in the medical field and create graphic for
text books, journals, magazines etc. Some medical illustrators prepare
illustrators that aid in research about or creation of artificial body parts.
At times they are upon to use modelling skills, to create artificial body
parts, such as ears and noses for patients that are deformed or have undergone
some surgeries.
Salary: $35,000 -
$50,000
Education: Students
should take a college preparatory program in high school that emphasizes are
and science. The majority of medical illustrators have master’s degrees in the
filed from a program that is accredited by commission on accreditor of allied
health educational programs. In college they should either major in science or
minor in art.
I wouldn’t enjoy being a
Medical Illustrator, wouldn’t like to take the time to take classes to become
one. The duties don’t motivate me to become one.
