Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Duties and Responsibilities: Nuclear Medicine Technologist prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals to detect and treat disease. Nuclear Medicine technologist explain test to the patients and administer radioactive doses by mouth or injection.  Their work is performed in specialized hospitals, departments, clinics or laboratories.

Salary: $ $28,000 - $42,000

Educational Requirements: Students should take the most challenging science, math and English courses available in high school. One year programs that lead to certification are offered by hospitals. Almost all states require licensing, and all technologists must meet federal standards for administering and using radioactive materials.

To be a nuclear medicine technologist I don’t think I would be interested in becoming one in the future.
