Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Duties and Responsibilities:
Nuclear Medicine Technologist prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals to
detect and treat disease. Nuclear Medicine technologist explain test to the
patients and administer radioactive doses by mouth or injection. Their work is performed in specialized hospitals,
departments, clinics or laboratories.
Salary: $
$28,000 - $42,000
Educational
Requirements: Students should take the most challenging science, math and
English courses available in high school. One year programs that lead to
certification are offered by hospitals. Almost all states require licensing,
and all technologists must meet federal standards for administering and using radioactive
materials.
To be a
nuclear medicine technologist I don’t think I would be interested in becoming
one in the future.
